(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - CHANDLER, AZ - Valley Muslims rolled up their sleeves to give blood today and to honor the victims of 9/11.This is the first year for the Muslims For Life program, collecting blood donations across the country.A few dozen people went to a small Mosque in Chandler to donate today, the day before 9/11.Chandler resident Atif Malik was one of them.“No matter what your faith or beliefs you should give back to community,” Malik said.At this site they expected to collect 25 pints of blood and thousands more across the country.They also hope it will help restore the Muslim reputation.“The true teachings of Islam is to help, not to hurt, and anything that does or says different is not right,” said organizer Yasar Khan. /129
